Biography

Celina Liesegang is a London based artist specialising in Performance, Choreography and Music. Her work has been presented both nationally and internationally in venues including Südpol Luzern (CH), Linbury Studio Theatre (Royal Opera House), Robin Howard Dance Theatre (The Place), Victoria and Albert Museum, TripSpace, Peckham Space, South London Gallery, Galeria Walk&Talk (PO) and the Sharon Disney Lund Dance Theatre (USA).
Celina trained extensively both in the UK and France in theatre, singing and music before attending the London Contemporary Dance School. She also attended the California Institute of the Arts working with Lucky Plush Productions choreographer Julia Rhoads, and performing at the Walt Disney Modular Theater and REDCAT Los Angeles. She later undertook the JV2 Professional Development Certificate and performed alongside Jasmin Vardimon Company in Maze, an immersive performance with Turner Contemporary. She is now an Education Facilitator with the Jasmin Vardimon Company. She was a founding member of Kinetic Dance Company, and is a Romana's Pilates level V Instructor at Kinetic Pilates, the UK base for the Romana's Pilates Training Programme. 

She continues to perform, most recently for Declan Whitaker, and she is a member of Parallel Praxis, a cross disciplinary artistic group who meet monthly in order to support and exchange ideas around practice, process and collaboration.
She is particularly interested in the Taoist Internal Arts, environmental arts, and how ethically we can continue to make work in the current climate.
